The Ghana Alcohol Policy Alliance (GhanAPA) as a member of WAAPA, participated in the meeting and launch of WAAPA’s 5-Year strategic plan that was organized at the Oak Plaza on the 22ndof September. GhanAPA’s chair person, Mr. Benjamin Anabila participated in the conference and contributed in the discussions. Additionally, he moderated the launch of the WAAPA 5-Years strategic plan and was equally instrumental in getting the Deputy Minister of Health and other key stakeholders in Ghana to grace the occasion.
The meeting highlighted key areas of focus as well as leaning from other national alliance on their success stories for future references. The meeting strengthened our collaboration with other National Alliance as well as SAAPA members and this is leading to the formation of Africa Alcohol Policy Alliance (AAPA). GhanAPA was represented at this meeting by the following; Mad. Lilian Alang, Mr. Richard Gassu, Mr. Adam Abdul Fatah, Benjamin Anabila – Chairman, Alhaji Sule Sumani – Coordinator, Micheal Nartey – Treasurer and Mad. Nafisa Abdul Karim.
